1930SummerAn adult bird was flushed from a nest containing one egg, ncar Excelsior, June 1st (the writer), This was the only nest reported,
1932SummerA nest in the precess of construction was found June 11th by Downey & Risser.
1933Summer A number of duru~ nests of this species were reported, but the only nest containing eggs was discovered by Grines in Pennington County on June 2oth. It held 7 eggs.
1934Summer For some reason which is unknown, there t~s a very· marked dearth of records for this diminutive species. Mr. and Nrs. Swedenborg found a nest lined but empty on June 8th, btl.t it was destroyed the next day. This is our sole record for the season.
1937SummerE. D. Swedenborg saw shortbilled wrens building on May 30.
1940SummerArnold Erickson saw, at a marsh just south of Minneapolis on August 19, sev­eral young learning to fly.
1944SummerJuly 21, built, Park Rapids, Eastman.
1945Summer2 nests, July 12, Ramsey Co., Brother Hubert.
1961SpringSeen 15 May by Brother Theodore at Carlos A very Game Refuge. Seen 11 May at Duluth by Jan Green. Thrushes and Mimic Thrushes: All common species were reported.

2000Spring Observed in 24 south and 16 north counties throughout the state. Early south 4/27 Rice CGj, 4/29 in two counties. Early north (where recent median 5/4) 4/30 Otter Tail SDM, then daily arrivals 5/6–10.
2000Summer Record high number of reports; observed in 55 counties statewide.
2000Fall One found in downtown Minneapolis 8/3 suggested that migration underway by early August. However, a peak count of 13 in Hennepin on 9/10 (TAT) indicated that the major movement occurred in September. Late north reports from Lake and Kanabec during mid-September, but then only 10/26 Aitkin PEJ. Many south reports until 10/3, then 10/11 Hennepin SLC, 10/15 Stearns WCM.
